Schroders has appointed John Shepherd as a regional sales executive in its nationals and networks team, writes Leo Bland.
Shepherd joins from Prudential Intermediary Division, where he was a national accounts manager, and will cover London and the South for Schroders.
The group is also looking to appoint three telephone-based consultants next month to service nationals and networks.
The group's nationals and networks team is headed up by Tristan Mawdsley.
Robin Stoakley, client services director at Schroders, said: "We are expanding our resources for servicing the networks and national IFA accounts and John Shepherd will bring valuable experience to the team.
"Schroders as a unit trust house has always been strong in terms of servicing the discretionary manager market.
"However we feel we have now got the marketing, performance and brand to expand our coverage of the market in the nationals and networks area."
