Chartwell Investment Management has added an income strategy to its discretionary managed portfolio service.
The new strategy, which involves a managed portfolio of corporate bond and equity income funds, aims to provide 5% gross income per year after charges and pays out quarterly.
The group's portfolio service is available via an Isa or Pep, as well as unwrapped.
Sue Whitbread, director at Chartwell said: 'Asset allocation between equities and bonds is a difficult decision for investors, particularly when there are so many funds available.
'Factor in decisions such as investment grade or non-investment grade bonds and complementing management styles and it is no surprise investors get confused. For investors who do not want to have to make these kind of choices, taking the managed portfolio route provides a simple and pragmatic solution.'
