The FSA has permitted Keydata Investment Services (KIS) to use the term 'guaranteed' with regards to its Secure Growth Portfolio 3 product.
The product is the latest in KIS's Secure Growth Portfolio range and offers a choice of 100%, 90% or 80% guaranteed capital protection together with growth potential.
Growth is provided by averaging the monthly prices of a balanced portfolio of six fund managers' investment funds over a five-year term. Investors can receive 100%, 150% or 200% of the average growth depending on the capital protection level they select (100%, 90% or 80%). Returns from the assets are guaranteed by Barclays Bank.
The six funds are HSBC's UK Growth & Income, JPMorgan Fleming's Premier Equity Growth, New Star's UK Growth, Newton's Income (in the UK all companies sector), Norwich Union's European (excluding UK) and Threadneedle's American Select Growth.
Minimum investment is £3,000 and the plan can be set up as a Maxi or Mini ISA, PEP/ISA transfer, SIPPs, and other pension fund investments.
The offer closes on 19 April 2002 allowing a single investment to be used in both tax years.
