Royal & Sun Alliance's consumer insurance brand More Th>n is set to add credit cards to its product portfolio following an announcement by managing director Adrian Brown at the company's bash yesterday to celebrate its first year of business.
Brown said that the card was part of the company's focus on developing a wider range of consumer products and to establish the brand in the public mind ahead of possible consolidation in the financial services sector.
The RSA brand was already well-known, he said, but More Th>n offered additional branding possibilities where RSA might not be able to make an impact on the target market.
The new card will be backed by a partner, but Brown would not say whether that was Visa or one of the other major card scheme operators.
Further details are expected in the next couple of weeks.
