A 10-year plan with devolution of local power is being announced tomorrow by the Secretary of State for Health, looking in particular at England. An annual report will also be presented to the government from next year, stating what money has been spent on the NHS and what each individual local health authority is spending. UK spending on the NHS will rise to over £100bn by 2006.
