Anne Richards is to become chief investment officer at Edinburgh Fund Managers six months after the role was vacated by Mike Balfour. Richards joins from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where she is managing director the group's UK institutional alpha team, responsible for some $15bn in assets under management. Marianne Cantley, marketing director at Edinburgh Fund Managers, said Richards is expected to take on her new role from August after she has finished her notice period.
