Norwich Union says a new study into the views of employers towards workers over 60 indicates more than ever the need to develop a substantial equity release market in the UK. The company's survey found that 75% of all UK employeers did not employ anybody over the age of 60. This ratio is being supported by fears among company managers that older people will cost more because of health reasons, and ongoing stereotypes about the capabilities of older workers, such as their ability to interact with younger workers.
