A new technology is being unveiled at next week's AdviserTech conference which is designed to help IFAs memorize generic and specialist product info before they take competency tests.
Mind Map Technology is the product of 3MRT, explains Dr Danny Ruta, chief executive officer of 3MRT.
Software can assess where knowledge gaps may be a problem and what can be done to correct it, so both the training adviser and supervisor understand their weaknesses.
"The average person will forget 80% of everything they read within 24 hours. Our Multimedia Mind Map Review technology represents the first complete knowledge transfer solution designed to help learners understand far more key information and retain it in the long-term memory," says Dr Ruta.
"The tools allow IFAs to memorise and retain generic and product-specific knowledge in preparation for a competency assessment. The system has a number of administrator functions enabling supervisors and trainers to monitor and record individual IFA self-test activity, performance and progress in order to identify IFAs requiring remedial training, and for record keeping purposes," he adds.
Mind Map Technology and other techniques will be demonstrated at the AdviserTech conference next week at the Birmingham NEC in Arena 2 between 15.05 and 15.35.
