Hedge fund group Dawnay Day Olympia is setting up a structured products division to sell into the UK retail market. The group has hired Mark Mathias, former head of investment funds at Close Finsbury. He set up the group's Dublin-based Oeics, prior to which he worked at Hendersons. Mathias left Close Finsbury in 2000 and since then has been working on a full-time consultancy basis at Legal & General on product development work.
