Royal & Sun Alliance's UK Prime fund, launched at the end of April and managed by Mike Felton, is on a special discount during its three-week launch period.
The fund is to be actively managed with a portfolio typically consisting of 30 stocks. The investment style of the fund will rely on a stockpicking approach, selecting each stock on its own merits and not on its weighting in a particular index, and is described the company as a high-risk high-return fund.
Commenting on the launch, Robert Talbut, head of investment management, said: "The key to the fund is that it will focus on around 30 of our best ideas chosen to optimise the risk return position in any given time. Fund manager Mike Felton will not be constrained by index benchmarks. If we hold a stock its because we like it not because of its size in any index."
The discount for the Oeic is 2% and 1% for the Isa. The minimum investment levle for the fund is £1,000 or £50 per month.
Commission for IFAs is 3% for the Oeic and 4% for the Isa with trail of 0.5%. The annual charge is 1.5% falling to 0.75% for investments between £200,000 and £9.99m, falling to 0.5% for investments over £10m. The discount offer period closes on 18 May.
