Alia Baig, former European fund manager at Axa Investment Managers, is to join Legal & General Investment Management next month. Baig left Axa in December last year after the group transferred the management of its European equity funds to subsidiary Axa Rosenberg. At L&G, she will take on the role of head of European equities and will be involved in the relaunch of the group's active equity division later in the year, a move that could see it launch and relaunch actively managed European portfolios.
