Scottish Mutual has extended the improved terms on its with-profit investment bond (WPIB), for another six months until 31 December 2002.
Investments of £15,000 or more receive an increase of between 0.75% and 3.5% in additional guaranteed bonus in the first year, depending on the amount invested, while investments under £15,000 maintain their current bonus rates.
This comes at a time when many companies are cutting their bonus rates on with-profits products, but Ambrose McGinn, Director, Sales and Marketing at Abbey National for Intermediaries says the deal is continuing because it is so popular:
"This special offer has proved a real hit with IFAs so we've decided to extend it until the end of the year. Since the additional guaranteed bonus rate is determined by the total plan investment, this special offer will appeal not only to new investors of £20,000 or more but also to those who are adding to an existing plan."
