Zurich Life is revamping its critical illness products to offer a range of life and critical illness cover options in one plan
The range will offer access to stand alone critical illness cover, life and critical illness cover and life cover with a percentage paid early if a critical illness is diagnosed. Other options include life cover with a higher amount payable in the event of critical illness, as well as life cover and separate critical illness insurance. The products will be offered through the Zurich IFA Group from 27 September
Under the option offering life cover with a percentage paid early after a critical illness an example payout would be £100,000 paid on death or £50,000 payable earlier in the event of a critical illness with the remaining £50,000 paid on death. Under the option offering life cover with a higher amount payable after a critical illness had been diagnosed, an example payout would be £100,000 paid on death or £150,000 on diagnosis of a critical illness with the plan ending after either benefit is paid
John Ravenscroft, protection market director at Zurich IFA, said: "Our latest cover enables greatly increased flexibility by providing customers, through IFAs, with the ability to select a variety of combinations and levels of life and critical illness cover in one plan. These product improvements will ensure Zurich Life is front of mind with IFAs and their clients. Initial commission is 130% of Lautro rates and renewal is 2.5
