The Anglo Irish Bank is launching a Capital Protected Bond, offering investors 100% of any rise in the FTSE 100 over five years. The bond is 100% capital protected and available from 6 August to 12 September. It carries no explicit initial or annual charges. Returns are based on the average level of the index at the end of each of the last 12 months of the five-tear term. There is also an early kick-out if the FTSE has risen by 30% or more at the end of year three, when the fund will close and investors will receive their capital investment plus 30% gain.
