New Star is to launch an investment-grade corporate bond fund in January for Theo Zemek. Zemek, who has joined from M&G where she was head of global fixed income and CIO for M&G International, will work alongside James Gledhill, who manages the New Star High Yield Bond Fund and also used to work at M&G.
At M&G Zemek was responsible for launching the M&G Sterling High Interest Fund, now the Corporate Bond Fund, the first UK unit trust to invest purely in UK corporate bonds.
New Star has also just linked up with Skandia to launch the Skandia New Star Managed Fund, the only vehicle for investors to gain access to a life or pensions fund managed by New Star. The fund will invest in 12 funds, 11 from New Star's fund range and the Skandia Property Fund.
