A further 705 people passed the Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ), taking the total number of holders of the qualification to almost 10,000, according to the Chartered Insurance Institute. Results from the September session show a total of 1,317 candidates sat the exam, with 54% achieving a pass. The Mortgage Code Compliance Board recognises that MAQ, when held in conjunction with the FPC qualification, will satisfy its professional qualification requirements for all registered advisers offering advice and recommendations on mortgages.
