GAM is to launch a global currency fund later this year following the arrival of Avinash Persaud from State Street. Persaud, a managing director and member of the global markets management committee at State Street, joins GAM in October this year. The aim is for him to run a fund investing in deposit accounts and short-term monetary instruments.
