Insight Investment has launched two Isa packages, the Focus and Portfolio Builder plans, for the 2003 season.
The Focus Plan offers income and growth options, with both giving access to a range of six Insight funds. Income Focus combines investment in William Claxton-Smith's Equity High Income, Tim Rees's Monthly Income portfolios and Peter Geikie-Cobb's Global Bond fund, while Growth Focus is split between Neil Pegrum's UK Discretionary, James Grieve's UK Select Opportunities and Iain McNeill's European Discretionary funds.
Designed for inexperienced investors, the Portfolio Builder Plan initially invests in Insight Investment Foundation Income, a low-risk bond fund, and then phases the investment equally into three funds on a monthly basis over 12 months.
The portfolios involved are UK Discretionary, European Discretionary and UK Equity, the latter managed by James McLellan. Both plans are available as mini or maxi Isas, while the Focus plan is also applicable for Isa and Pep transfers.
The minimum initial investment for the Focus and Portfolio Builder plans is £3,000, with a minimum subsequent investment of £1,000. The initial charge on both plans is 5.25%, with the annual management charges ranging from 1.15% to 1.5%.
