Clive Boothman is to take over as chief executive officer of fund supermarket Cofunds. Upon receiving regulatory clearance, Boothman, most recently chief executive of Gerrard, will replace Sam Jensen.
Jensen, who has been chief executive officer of Cofunds since launch last year, will step down from his post and return to the US to work for Nationwide, the US owner of Gartmore. Boothman said Jensen will retain a place on the Cofunds board acting as Nationwide's representative at board meetings. Prior to working at Gerrard, Boothman was managing director of Schroders, spending 16 years with the group during which time he was appointed chairman of Autif for two years.
