DWP matches part-time pension rights to EU rules

The Department for Work and Pensions has today published an amended consultation paper regarding part-time workers and occupational pensions in a bid to bring UK legislation in line with the European Law. The amended regulations - 'the pensions Act 1995 and the Occupational Pension Scheme (Equal Treatment) (Amendment) Regulations 2003' - reviews the time limits that trustees will have to apply to part-time workers' claims for occupational pension scheme access.
