The Prudential, one of the four backers of the Cofunds fund supermarket, has taken a 15% stake in the Fundsdirect supermarket. The purchase leaves Egg owning the remaining 85% of the supermarket but will allow Fundsdirect to continue the development of an IFA offering which it hopes to have ready in the first half of 2003.
