Citibank is offering €50 to customers if they open a Sterling current account with the US firm before February 28. Accounts are euro-compatible so customers can transfer sterling into euro free of charge, and customers can also switch between sterling and euro accounts with one card. If the euro is chosen as the priority currency, the Citicard can be used to pay for purchases in Europe or withdraw cash and avoid the usual exchange rates, commission charges and currency fluctuations.
