Templeton has added three of Franklin Templeton's funds to its Luxembourg Sicav including the US Government Fund
Jack Lemein, fund manager of the US Government Fund, said it is designed to combine strong capital stability with a dependable income but income at a higher level than other cash equivalent investments. It is designed to protect capital and provide income and invests primarily in securities that are backed by the Government National Mortgage Association
The Franklin US Equity Fund, managed by Lisa Costa, contains 40 holdings, is benchmarked against the Russell 3000 Index and is 40% invested in technology stocks, 15% in retail with the remainder in a range of sectors, with a bias toward financials
Fred Fromm is manager of the Franklin Income Fund which contains a mix of bonds and equities. It holds 45 stocks and 24 bonds but is expected to eventually hold 79 stocks and 100 fixed interest investments. Its benchmark is the Lipper income fund average
Minimum investment in all three funds is $5,000 initial and $1,000 subsequent. Commission is 70% of the initial charge, with trail commission of 0.25% for the Franklin equity fund
