An online poll by software developer 1st Software shows that more than 70% of IFA companies have seen their business impacted by the ongoing Iraq crisis.
Figures so far show that 44% believe the threat of war has "significantly impacted business and profitability", with an additional 27% saying there was an impact "in certain areas".
Just 9% of firms that have voted so far say there has been "no" impact on their business.
The UN Security Council is scheduled to take a vote by tomorrow on a proposed second resolution authorising war as soon as 17 March.
US president George Bush has already said it will ignore any vote not to authorise the use of force.
Prime minister Tony Blair says he will follow Bush's lead even without a UN resolution, although judging from comments in the weekend's press it is likely he could lose some key Cabinet members and risk splitting the Labour Party if he does so.
