David Berry is to become a co-manager of two of Martin Currie's investments trusts and two Oeic funds, after starting with the group this week.
Martin Currie has boosted its UK Growth and Income team with Berry's appointment from Royal & SunAlliance (RSA) Investments.
He joins Tom Maxwell as co-manager of the £526m Securities Trust and the £35m Martin Currie Premium Trust and two Oeics, the £11m Balanced Portfolio and the £24m Income Fund.
Berry ran two open-ended portfolios at RSA, the £122m UK Equity Income and the £19.7m Growth & Income funds.
Friends Ivory & Sime, which purchased RSA Investments earlier this year, said Rodger McNair, head of UK specialist equity funds at the company would be taking over Berry's portfolios.
