Winterthur Life is planning to place more emphasis in the development of its employee benefits division, following the appointment of Mark Rowlands as its new employee benefits manager.
Prior to joining Winterthur Life, Rowlands ran his own business, which included an online pension service, having already spent ten years at Friends Provident in the corporate sector.
Commenting on Rowlands' appointment, Ian Colquhoun, who heads up the corporate team, says: "The employee benefit market is currently changing and the focus is on having a complete service package, encompassing quality service, leading edge IT and an open platform approach to funds available. The calibre of personnel at Winterthur Life has always been extremely high and Rowlands is no exception to this rule. He brings invaluable experience with him and will strengthen what is already a successful team."
Winterthur Life is known mainly for its promotion as a Self Invested Personal Pension provider, and is now owned by Credit Suisse.
