aidan kearney gears up for 12 nationwide roadshows to promote premier funds services
ABN Amro is to stage a series of 12 roadshows across the UK introducing intermediaries to its Premier Funds Service managed by Aidan Kearney.
This marks the beginning of ABN's promotion of the service to intermediaries and will soon be supported by a magazine and poster advertising campaign.
The new service now has about £85m in assets. Nick Wells, product and communications director at ABN Amro, said that by the end of June the group intends to combine its existing Managed Portfolio Service, which has around £6.5m in assets, into Premier Funds.
Launched in February this year, Premier Funds is the rebranded and restructured Singer & Friedlander Premier Funds Service, which was bought by ABN last year.
The purchase saw the management team move to ABN Amro.
As a result the service had critical mass at launch and continuity of management from the outset, according to ABN.
At the roadshows Kearney will outline the Premier Funds team's strategies in selecting an appropriate combination of sector, region and fund to give investors a balanced selection of investment products. Kearney said: 'The roadshow series will give us an opportunity to demonstrate to intermediaries how the Premier Funds Service can provide their clients with the optimum investment strategy across a range of top-performing funds.'
The service employs five investment strategies investing in nine underlying multi-manager portfolios.
The strategies it uses are balanced, capital growth, conservative, international and ethical. Each of the underlying sub-funds invests in a portfolio of collective investment schemes.
The funds currently available include UK Growth, UK Equity Income, International Growth, Ethical and Fixed Interest offerings.
In addition, there are three funds within the funds umbrella dedicated to Pep and Isa investment ' the ABN Portfolio Growth, Balanced and Conservative funds.
