Zurich Financial Services has announced the appointment of Jim Reeve as managing director of Zurich IFA to replace Jerry Grayburn who retired in April this year.
Chief executive Ray Greenshields said: "I am delighted to have found in Jim someone with such commitment and enthusiasm for the future of our IFA business who believes, as I do, in its potential to be among the sector leaders in terms of both sales and profits.
"Zurich IFA now accounts for about half of our total UK production and is therefore key to Zurich's distribution strategy."
Reeve worked for Zurich for 22 years as well as holding various positions at Eagle Star including IFA sales and marketing director.
Greenshields said: "Zurich IFA has proved to be an outstanding success, working with IFAs to achieve almost 60% growth in the last two years. And we've enjoyed a brilliant start to this year with new business premiums up 25%. With my team I'm looking forward to building on that tremendous success, working closely with IFAs to help grow their businesses as well as ours."
