First State recruits Benzimra

First State has appointed Adam Benzimra as regional investment manager. Benzimra joins from Barings' UK retail sales team. In a newly created role, he will be responsible for the group's relationships with asset managers, intermediaries and strategic partners for the South of England and the Channel Islands. He will report to Richard Jones, director of UK retail sales. Before joining Barings, Benzimra worked in various investment and broking roles in South Africa.
