Richard Howells has been promoted to chief executive of Berkeley Berry Birch's network division and is charged with increasing its members by the end of the financial year.
BBB already has over 630 advisers under its belt, but the latest plan is to try and expand the network members to over 700 IFAs before the end of the financial year, says a statement from BBB.
So Howells - who joined BBB in September 2002 from his previous job as group development director for Burns Anderson - will take specific responsibility for managing all B2B operations and IFA development.
This may not seem a daunting task for Howells, however, as he was previously responsible for sales and marketing at the Bristol-based IFA group, as well as looking after the firm's existing services for IFAs.
Prior to this, he worked for Bradford & Bingley Building Society as well as Natwest.
