Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) has added two managers to its UK smaller companies team. Johnny Russell, formerly of Edinburgh Fund Managers, and Andy Gray, formerly of Legg Mason, have joined the team, reporting to Gregor MacDonald, investment director of UK small companies. Both will work on retail and institutional portfolios, managing the small-cap section of several funds with sector specific research duties. The appointments double the size of the Swip UK small cap team to four.
