Dresdner RCM Global Investors has recruited Lucy MacDonald to lead its global equities team in London.
MacDonald was previously at Baring Asset Management, where she was co-deputy of UK equities.
Although she has a background in UK equities, at Barings MacDonald led the global media and telecoms teams and managed the sector funds the group launched earlier this year.
Mark Archer, head of institutional business development at Dresdner, said: 'She had decided this was the way she wanted her career to go, more towards global investing, and she particularly liked our global approach.'
Dresdner has also recruited Jonathan Bolton from Schroders Investment Management in Japan to join the global team in San Francisco.
Alan Boswell Insurance Brokers (ABIB) has promoted Jill Pullin to act as financial services account executive for both its Attleborough branch and its new office in Beccles.
She will also continue to look after her client base in Norwich, which she has built up over the past 12 years, dividing her time between the three sites.
The promotion follows Pullin's return to full-time work, having spent several years working at the group part-time.
ABIB also has appointed Mark Simmons as a financial consultant, joining its financial services team at a time when it is expanding rapidly and developing new business areas.
Simmons has 14 years experience in the industry, as a financial consultant at the Prudential and, latterly, with Sun Life of Canada, where he was senior sales manager.
Jim Henning has been appointed Investment Marketing Manager at Friends Provident.
Based at the company's Salisbury head office, Henning will be responsible for the development of investment bond business, communication of investment performance and the development of business opportunities in the rapidly expanding market of socially responsible investment (SRI).
Henning joined Friends Provident in June 2000 with responsibility for SRI marketing, following 15 years with Abbey Life, including 8 years as investment marketing manager.
