seminars are free to IFAs and begin with session on far east equities
Incisive Media has three conferences in October, all free to financial advisers, beginning on 16 October with the Investment Week seminar on the equity markets of the Far East and Japan.
The conference, to be held at the Bloomberg offices in Finsbury Square, London, features speakers from a number of groups with strong reputations in the asset class.
They are Aberdeen Asset Management, Britannic, First State, Henderson Global Investors, Invesco Perpetual and Insight Investments. Speakers include Hendersons' John Crawford, director of Pacific equities at the group, and Invesco Perpetual's Stuart Parks, co-head of Asian equities at the group. Following the Far East and Japan conference, Investment Week's sister paper Hedge Funds Review is to hold a training seminar for advisers on the hedge funds market, also at the Bloomberg offices.
Planned for 17 October, it will include speakers from Forsyth Partners, Coronation International and Credit Suisse First Boston. The issues to be covered include fund of hedge funds, hedge fund strategies, leverage and capital protected hedge funds. It will be chaired by Beverley Chandler, managing editor of Hedge Funds Review.
Following that, Investment Week's sister paper MultiManager, which launched in May this year, will be holding a forum examining the issues surrounding the burgeoning market in multi-manager and fund of funds services. The forum will take place at the Investec Auditorium in Gresham Street, London, on 23 October.
Speakers for the event include John Husselbee, director of multi-manager investment at Henderson Global Investors. Also speaking are Artemis Premier Funds Service manager Aidan Kearney and Patrick Copper, head of retail at Axa Investment Managers.
