Legal & General has launched two pension funds, which will invest in global equities via the company's tracker funds.
The Global Equity Index fund will invest 70% in the Legal & General UK Equity Index fund and 30% in its Overseas Equity Index fund, while the Global Equity Fixed Weights pension fund will invest 60% in the Equity index fund and 40% in the Overseas index fund. The overseas portion is split 14% in North America, 14% in Europe ex-UK and 6% in both Japan and the Pacific Basin ex-Japan.
Andy Agar, pensions marketing director at Legal & General, said the new funds will bring the group's in-house pension range to 30 funds, plus it offers a choice of 16 externally managed funds.
