Questionnaires have gone out to the investment trusts shortlisted for the fourth annual Investment Week awards being held at a dinner at the Savoy on 20 November.
An afternoon forum on investments trusts will be held at the UBS Warburg Conference Centre on the day of the awards' dinner. Confirmed speakers so far include Andrew Watkins of Jupiter and Jeremy Tigue of F&C.
They will be joined by speakers from Edinburgh Fund Managers, Gartmore, Henderson Global Investors, JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management and Martin Currie.
The judging process for the awards consists of an initial quants screen from which a shortlist has been drawn up.
The judging panel, consisting of Robert Ottley previously with HSBC, Peter Metcalfe, Nick Greenwood of Iimia, Derek Larcombe of Quilters, Investment Week editor Mark Colegate and news editor Robert Stock, will make its final decision on the winners for each category on the basis of the answers given on the questionnaire.
Categories for the awards are split capital, global including US, UK small cap and venture capital, emerging markets including Asia, Specialist, UK Sector, Japan and Europe.
Shortlists have yet to be decided for group of the year, outstanding achievement individual and outstanding achievement for group.
