SLC Asset Management (SLCAM) is looking to add a professional investor share class to its Oeic in the New Year, writes Fiona Henderson.
The group is still in the process of working out the final details of the plan.
Caroline Carroll has also been appointed as head of broker support to form part of the team under Simon Gordon, head of retail sales. Carroll comes from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where she was on the broker services desk. At the same time, Sun Life Financial of Canada has gone live on the latest version of Lamda, the life and pensions administration platform from Marlborough Stirling. This is the first stage of a process to move from a mainframe based system to a PC system.
By August 2002 the project team will have completed the conversion of over 700,000 policies from its four mainframe systems on to Lamda. This will mean a significant saving for the company in terms of IT and administration costs, according to Stewart Young, project manager at the life office for the Lamda project.
