Egg, the online financial services provider, has launched a balanced Isa product.
The Easy Choice Balanced Isa is invested equally in ABN Amro High Income, Artemis UK Growth, Threadneedle Global Select Growth and Baring Global Bond Trust, spreading the portfolio throughout UK and global equities and bonds.
Egg has negotiated discounts with the product providers totalling 3.5%.
The online direct supermarket has launched the Balanced Isa in light of its own research, which suggested that the coming Isa season will see investors selecting balanced portfolios.
Investors have learnt their lesson, having had their fingers burnt in the technology correction, and will move away from specialist funds, according to Andrew Jones, director of investments at Egg.
Jones said: 'The hot property in the next Isa season will be products which aim to provide structured diversity, offsetting higher risk equity investment with fixed-interest funds.'
Meanwhile, IFA Systems, website designers for intermediaries, has set up the first online link to Skandia's fund supermarket, MyMultifundsShop, for one of its intermediary clients.
