Some £20m worth of shares in 3i European Technology investment trust is being made available under a public offer.
The offer closes on 6 April with a minimum subscription of £5,000. Subscriptions in excess of £5,000 must be in multiples of £1,000.
The trust has already raised £380m via a placing of the 100p ordinary shares.
3i European Technology is to buy into quoted companies that have a significant focus on technology-oriented activities, excluding life science businesses, and which are principally based on the Continent.
The trust will benefit from its relationship with 3i in several ways. The managers will have access to 3i's network of 34 offices and over 80 investment professionals throughout Europe. In addition the portfolio has the opportunity to acquire shares in companies where 3i is proposing to sell them through a flotation.
The remit of the trust excludes it from holding stocks which are listed in the FTSE 100 or the FTSE Eurotop 300.Contact 0171 772 1476
