Information provider Keydata has produced a CD-Rom for intermediaries including a dedicated section on multi-manager investment.
The information will allow intermediaries to compare multi-manager groups based on a number of criteria including performance, resources and charges. The data will also be split between groups with fettered and unfettered offerings.
Hugo Huggett, managing director of Keydata, said the group has been researching users regarding the features they wanted on the CD. 'Multi-manager came out high on their list,' he said.
'From an IFA's point of view, we are aiming to define what the universe is.' Huggett added no one had properly researched this area of the market before now.
'We believe we are the first people to create something where you can sort and compare fettered and unfettered fund of funds. What we have accomplished is to provide a simple tool for IFAs to compare and select fund of funds products,' said Huggett.
The data has been sourced from a combination of Standard & Poor's and the groups themselves.
Keydata claims its services are used by more than 14,000 intermediaries in the UK.
