Aberdeen Asset Management is widening the scope of its SRI funds, allowing them to invest in oil companies in the belief they can be lobbied to improve their standards of corporate governance. Andrew Preston, head of SRI at Aberdeen, said: 'I firmly believe this is the way forward for SRI.'
