New Star is considering maintaining the exclusivity agreement it has with Skandia, which prevents New Star funds being available on any other intermediary fund supermarkets.
The agreement, signed last year when the fledgling group had just two funds on offer, is due to expire next month.
Rob Page, marketing director of New Star, said: 'We have the links with Skandia until the end of the tax year and hopefully beyond that.' He added the group has not yet been in discussions with either Cofunds or FundsNetwork. However, New Star has joined with Cofunds and a number of other groups, for joint end of Isa season drop off points.
Meanwhile, New Star continues its discussions with a number of fixed interest teams to recruit a bond fund manager, an obvious hole in the group's increasing range.
