The outperformance of small-cap stocks over the year to date is likely to continue due to increasing venture capitalist activity, according to Neil Hermon, manager of the Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust. Hermon said rising corporate activity driven chiefly by venture capitalists indicates investor appetite for risk is slowly returning.
