Lawson said: "This newly established team gives e-business a focus throughout the organisation. BAM has expansive and ambitious growth plans to take the business forward and is committed to maximising e-business opportunities." The team is responsible for BAM's website, where Isas can be bought online.
Further initiatives will follow over the next few months.
The team includes Murray Dickson, who has asset management experience with Prudential Portfolio Managers (Australia), AMP, Colonial First State and Coopers & Lybrand, and Helen Booker, who joined from CGU where she worked at internet incubator, Silicon Warf.
