Seminars for the 4 July Investment Week markets forum, will be held at the Hotel Inter-Continental this year, although the evening awards presentations will still be held in the Royal Albert Hall.
This year's programme includes the opening address by Sarah Robinson of Bloomberg, followed by a talk from Roddy Kohn of Kohn Cougar, chairman of the event.
Speakers at the forum's morning seminar session will include Philip Ehrmann, head of emerging markets at Gartmore, and Steven Bates, head of emerging market portfolios at Fleming Asset Management, talking about the opportunities created by the changing character of emerging markets.
Fidelity South East Asia fund manager K C Lee will speak on an investment strategy for the region and what are the lessons to be learnt from the past year.
Sanjiv Duggal, fund manager of HSBC Global Emerging Markets, will look at a business case for India and why it could be one of the major markets of the next decade.
Is Japan back from the brink, is the topic of a seminar by INVESCO's head of research Hidehiro Tomioka while Nicholas Edwards, managing director, Japanese equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management Funds, will explore the opportunities of new Japan.
Stuart Fraser, head of Continental European equities at Standard Life Investments will discuss the polarisation of old and new economy securities.
Andrew Gibbs, fund manager of M&G European Smaller Companies fund, will give a talk on the ongoing attractions of Europe, pointing to themes, associated stocks and genuine business models most likely to drive performance. The opportunities in bond markets will be outlined by Paul Read, fixed interest fund manager at Perpetual while Adrian Frost, head of UK Equities at Deutsche Asset Management, will look at the difficulties of valuation and volatility in the new economy.
Speakers from Threadneedle, Britannic Asset Management, Newton, Schroders, Barings and Investec Guinness Flight will present in the afternoon session.
