Specialist investment manager Framlington has poached David Townsend from Scottish Life International to take the role of International Sales Manager.
Townsend will be responsible for the development of Framlington's sales and marketing activities in Asia, particularly Hong Kong and the Middle East.
At Scottish Life International, Townsend was responsible for establishing global distribution for the open-ended capital protected fund range and he also developed business in Africa and South East Asia.
He also worked for Fidelity Investments until 1997 where he was responsible for the development of third-party business in Africa and the Middle East.
Craig Walton, Group Marketing Director at Framlington, said: "We have been developing a strong reputation in the international and offshore market for providing specialist investment solution to investors. We are delighted that someone of David's calibre has joined the team to help build that reputation further."
