Scottish Provident is organsing meetings with IFAs and non-regulated advisers to demonstrate the financial and time benefits of processing protection applications online.
Through its 'e'props' or online applications, Scottish Provident has seen a threefold increase in business since the turn of the year.
So a campaign is under way by ANfI's sales team to show other advisers how new business applications for Self Assurance can be processed faster and commission payments generated faster.
Abbey National for Intermediaries points out that 90% of advisers have access to the internet.
"We recognise that time is money for intermediaries and we now know that our on-line e-prop solution is reliable and delivers both speed and quality to our customers, says Hugo Thorman, director of intermediary propositions at Abbey National.
"We are working to develop and extend this service because although in overall terms it still accounts for a small percentage of our new business, as a channel it is growing faster than more traditional methods as intermediaries become more comfortable with the medium and they see the tangible benefits it delivers."
