Philip Ehrmann, manager of the Gartmore Emerging Markets fund, is to hand over the day-to-day running of the portfolio to co-manager Chris Palmer from 1 November.
Ehrmann is to remain head of Pacific and emerging markets and will continue to run institutional money, as well as providing input into the £30m Emerging Markets fund. Gartmore believes the handover will better reflect the day-to-day operation of the fund as Palmer has worked closely with Ehrmann on the portfolio for some time. Ratings agency Standard & Poor's has confirmed that the funds AA rating will be unaffected by the change.
Guy Opperman has rejected calls to speed up changes to auto-enrolment (AE) despite increasing pressure to boost contribution rates and overall savings pots.
