Jamie MacLeod has resigned as managing director at Investec and is being replaced by Andy Sowerby and David Aird who will take up their roles as joint managing directors of Investec Fund Managers.
MacLeod's reasons for his decision to leave after only two years with the asset management house is still unkown, however, industry sources speculate he may be moving to a specialist house.
Both Aird and Sowerby will continue to fulfil their previous roles so Aird will maintain his position as head of UK and European retail sales while Sowerby continues to look after Investec's marketing, reporting to Hendrik du Toit, chief executive of Investec Asset Management.
Further appointments will also be announced next week, according to a statement from Investec.
