SimCorp has launched an updated version of its flagship investment management system, changing the name from TMS2000 to Simcorp Dimension.
The company said version 3.3 of the system has enhanced features in areas such as fund accounting and performance. The system is used by over 100 financial institutions.
The new version provides all data in real time and is designed to be more user friendly. There is scope to personalise the system because it has the ability to drag and drop menus and frequently used items onto a desktop.
It also moves away from the traditional front, middle and back office structure to support specific operations such as portfolio management, performance or client management with all related functions in one place.
New fund accounting features include an integrated general ledger module and fund figure explorer, while changes to the performance function include a composite manager function.
The new communication server also allows transaction-based interfaces with third parties, SimCorp chief executive Peter Ravn, said.
To promote 'long-term investment'
Switching 'hard and expensive'
