Thames River Capital has appointed a third former member of Baring Asset Management's emerging markets team to help run its forthcoming emerging European funds.
Eoghan Flanagan, an emerging markets analyst who left Barings in April, has joined ex-colleagues Rory Landman and Martin Taylor at Thames River.
Earlier this summer Landman resigned from Barings where he was head of global emerging markets. Taylor resigned in June.
The three are to run two funds being launched by the group this autumn.
The long/short fund, Thames River Nevsky, will be launched at the end of September while Thames River Eastern European, a long only fund which will be a sub-fund of the group's Dublin-based Oeic, will launch in early October.
As well as investing in Eastern Europe and Russia the fund will be able to invest in Greece and Turkey.
Thames River Capital is to host a series of global roadshows over the next few weeks to promote its Eastern European funds. The London show will be held on 14 September at the Royal Automobile Club.
